What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. Nothing else. We never see or store your Google password.

Everything else in your account is whatever you type into Groundwork yourself: reading logs, gym, study and work sessions, journal and gratitude entries, finance records and debts owed to you, vocabulary, and to-dos.

How your data is stored and protected

Your entries live in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase. Every table enforces row-level security, meaning the database itself refuses to return or modify another user's rows, no matter what any client asks for. This isn't just hidden in the interface, it's enforced at the database layer.

Who can see your data

Nobody but you can read your tracked entries through the app: not other users, not us. We hold administrative access to the underlying database, as is standard for any hosted service, but the app itself never displays, exports, or otherwise surfaces your entries to anyone but you.

The one exception: we keep a minimal internal record of your account (email, signup date, last active date) so we can see basic usage numbers, like how many people use Groundwork and how often. This record never includes anything you've tracked.

Third-party services we use

None of these services are used to sell or share your data. We don't run ads and we don't sell data to anyone.

Cookies and local storage

Groundwork stores a session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.

Deleting your data

Groundwork doesn't yet have a self-serve delete-account button or a published contact channel. Both are on the way. Once available, this section will explain exactly how to request full deletion of your account and everything in it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
